Dr. Greg Gullo – Dentist

Dr. Greg grew up here in Canandaigua and graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1989. After graduating, he spent one year in Belgium as an exchange student in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. After his year in Belgium, Greg began school at the University of Rochester where he majored in Political Science and Premedical Studies. After three years at the University of Rochester, he was admitted into the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1998 and then spent one year at Genesee Hospital as a resident in the general practice residency program. In 1999 he joined his father’s practice here in Canandaigua and he has been here ever since. Dr. Greg Gullo has had over 100 hours of advanced training in sleep apnea at The Pankey Institute, as well as 90+ hours in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) Mastery Program. Dr. Greg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM)

Dr. Edson Lee – Dentist

Dr. Edson was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He graduated from the Universidade Cidade de São Paulo where he earned his dental surgeon degree. He worked with Project Amazon providing dental care for communities in villages in the Amazon Basin and he also helped develop a dental practice in the city of Santarem, Brazil, for the underserved population. To continue his education, he completed two years of specialty training in Implantology at the Centro Universitario Inga in Brazil, two years of AEGD at the Universidade of Rochester, NY, and one year of GPR at BronxCare Health System, NYC. Edson was also a dental lab technician with over 6 years of experience and he has helped implement dental computer-aided design and manufacturing of prosthesis for dental practices in the Rochester area. He enjoys serving the community and has been involved with international mission trips for dental outreach and local organizations such as Dentistry from the Heart and Supply a Smile. Edson and his wife Kelly have four children and they have been living in the Finger Lakes region since 2013.

Dental Hygienists

Lynn

Lynn is a graduate of Monroe Community College with over 17 years of experience. Lynn is an empathetic person who always ensures her patient is comfortable and at ease. In her spare time, Lynn enjoys baking, working in her garden, refurbishing old furniture and going to concerts. Lynn is also a traveler!

Jessica

Jessica graduated from Monroe Community College with the full knowledge of the current trends in Dentistry. She keeps busy at home with her first baby, a miniature poodle, Moose, her husband as well as their two children, one of which they welcomed to the world this year. She loves spending time with her friends and family as well as boating and hiking.

Laura

Laura joined our office in September 2020 with over 30 years of dental hygiene experience. She is a former registered sleep technician with 12 years of Sleep experience and two years as an EEG Technician.

Laure loves helping people and making them feel comfortable. She loves to laugh! In her spare time, she works at the Sleep center, gardens, swims, and spends time with her friends and family. She has 6 grandchildren who she loves dearly.

McKenzie

Mackenzie has an outstanding 16 years of experience in the dental hygiene field. She carries a positive attitude with her everyday, and has patience and understanding for those around her which makes you relaxed and comfortable with her. When she's not in the office, she has her hands full, homeschooling her four amazing children. Mackenzie enjoys the outdoors and swimming at the lake, as well as taking her family to the beach! She also enjoys reading in her free time.

Dental Assistants
Kathy

Kathy has 20 years of dental experience and 4 years of sleep apnea experience. Her positive attitude and fun demeanor have been a pleasure in the office! Along with assisting the doctors, Kathy works with our sleep apnea patients. She loves hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, and spending time with her husband, Rob, her son, Brandon, daughter-in-law Halie, two twin grandsons, and her four rescued pitbulls!

Cheryl

We are excited to welcome our newest member Cheryl to our office! Cheryl has an amazing 24 years of Dental Assisting experience. She is a team player who goes above and beyond, and is always offering a helping hand. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her four grandchildren who are the light of her life.

Brent

Brent's communication skills and proactive attitude make him a powerhouse in the office. He can easily strike up a conversation with just about anybody. In his spare time, he enjoys all things sports; watching and playing, and he is a proud Cowboys fan. Brent expresses himself through tattoos, which is prominent upon meeting him. He is also an aspiring hygienist!

Office Administrators
Kim

Kim has worked in the dental field since 1977 she joined our team as a dental assistant in 1990 and has since “worn many hats” in the office. You may find her at her primary position at the front desk or assisting one of the doctors. Kim brings a touch of levity to the office as she has quite a sense of humor and enjoys making people laugh. Kim is married with three children. She and her husband, Perry, enjoy vintage cars and football. Kim also enjoys working in her flower garden, and always has a modeling project underway at home. The Adams also enjoy vacationing with friends. Kim will be retiring at the end of this year. As sad as we are, we are excited to see what she will do with this next chapter of her life.

Johanna

Johanna comes with a myriad of experience and skills and adds her own style to the administrative team. She enjoys time on Canandaigua Lake, decorating and spending time with her family and friends. She has three beautiful and talented children, and just happens to be Dr. Greg’s wife!

Jill

Jill has shared her contagious laugh with Gullo Dental practice for over 28 years. Always ready with a smile and encouraging words, she makes you feel comfortable even while having a root canal. Along with assisting the doctors, Jill is our office manager, and she has the answer to just about everything. She has two grandchildren that hold a special place in her heart as well as her husband, Jeff, who she is tying the knot with this year! She enjoys spending time at the lake, and traveling to the Thousand Islands. 

Gabby

Gabby is one of the newest members at our office who we have quickly come to depend on. She may appear young, but she is an old soul. She is ambitious and inquisitive; knowing there is always something new to learn. In her free time she enjoys playing video games and reading as well as singing and going to music festivals. she has five sisters, a brother, and two dachshunds, Polka, and Dot. She is competitive, and enjoys beating her family at cards on the weekend.

Supply a Smile is a local organization associated with Canandaigua Churches in Action (CCIA), serving uninsured residents of Ontario County with free dental services for adults age 18  and older, and is limited to cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Services are provided by area dental offices.

Patient Information

Your First Visit

As a patient of Gullo Dental, you should expect to be warmly welcomed and courteously treated as soon as you walk through our doors. We have coffee and tea waiting in our comfortable waiting area for you to enjoy.

When you arrive for your first visit, we’ll have some forms for you to fill out, our goal is to build a great patient/staff relationship. Please bring the following items along with you to make things easy on yourself.

  • Insurance information

  • A list of any medications you are taking

  • Current x-rays from a previous dentist (a signed release form will be needed)

Insurance

At Gullo Dental, we strive to make the highest quality of dental care available to everyone. We will work with your insurance company by submitting and filing necessary forms. We want you to recieve the maximum benefit possible. If you are without insurance and are unsure of how you’ll pay for dental services, come see us anyway. We provide flexible payment plans through Care Credit, which is a private company, that enables you to spread payments out for months and in most cases without interest.

Digital Radiography

With digital radiography clear, detailed images appear instantly on our monitors. This technology allows us to quickly diagnose, treat and minimize exposure to radiation. Having your x-rays in a digital form also facilitates seamless communication with dental specialists.

Operating Microscopes

Our doctors are among the few general dentists in the western New York using operating microscopes. We believe that if you can see it better, you can treat it better. Operating microscopes enable us to view difficult-to-see regions in great detail. Which allows us to perform delicate and complex procedures with confidence and precision.
