Gum Treatments That Treat Your Gums Effectively:
Most people don’t know if they have gum disease (periodontal disease). And even if your brush and floss (don’t stop!), gum disease can still sneak up on you. That’s why it’s important to see either Dr. Ben or Dr. Greg for your dental exam. They can detect the early signs of gum disease such as pockets in the gums, bleeding, bone loss, loose teeth, and spaced between the teeth. Sometimes, periodontal disease is caused by a buildup of plaque on the teeth and under the gum; sometimes, genetics plays a factor in whether you’re prone to periodontal disease.
The doctors can treat gum disease by getting rid of the plaque and tartar above and beneath the gumline. Combined with your brushing and flossing, this could be an effective program for early gum disease. After treatments, the Drs. Gullo will be your partners in soft-tissue management of your gums. It will be important to see them for gum checkups, because gum disease can return if brushing and flossing wane.
